Event on Thursday 25 January and Dies Natalis on Friday 26 January 2018
Lucy Suchman (Lancaster University) will be awarded an honorary doctorate at Maastricht University’s Dies Natalis on 26 January 2018. MUSTS member Sally Wyatt is the honorary promoter and will give a Dies-lecture.
On the day before the Dies, on Thursday 25 January, an event about “The Future of a Data-Driven Society” will be held, at which Lucy Suchman and Carole Goble (who also receives an honorary doctorate, sponsored by the Department of Knowledge Engineering) will give keynote lectures. Maastricht University’s 42nd Dies Natalis will take place in the Sint Janskerk Maastricht on Friday 26 January 2018 at 15.30. The event will include lectures by our newly appointed Professor of Data Science, Michel Dumontier, and Sally Wyatt, Professor of Digital Cultures. Prof. Carol Goble (University of Manchester) and Prof. Lucy Suchman (Lancaster University) will be awarded honorary doctorates at the ceremony.
