Inaugural lectures by MUSTS members Kenneth Bertrams and Raf de Bont

The MUSTS group celebrates inaugural lectures by two of its historian members, Kenneth Bertrams and Raf de Bont. Due to covid-related restrictions, both lectures will be postponed to 2021.

Kenneth Bertrams will give his inaugural lecture as endowed professor History of Science and Technology and their Interrelations, sponsored by the Stichting Historie der Techniek (SHT – Foundation for History of Technology).
The title of his inaugural lecture is: “From Scientific Patronage to Philanthrocapitalism (and Back)” He will likely organize a symposium on the same day, in collaboration with SHT. More information will follow. Due to recent covid-19 related restrictions, the inaugural lecture of Kenneth Bertrams is postponed. A new date will be communicated in due time.

Raf de Bont will give his inaugural lecture with the title “Globalizing Animals: Histories for the Anthropocene”. Due to the recent covid-19 related restrictions, the inaugural lecture of Raf de Bont is postponed to April 15, 2021, 16:30.
