Upcoming PhD defenses by Andreas Mitzschke and Thomas Mougey

and December 20, 2018, 12:00Two public PhD defenses by MUSTS members will take place in the coming weeks:

Andreas Mitzschke will defend his PhD dissertation ‘Elusive Publics – Understanding Techno-Scientific Controversy and Democratic Governance in the GM Crops Debate’ in the Aula, Minderbroedersberg 4-6, on Thursday December 20 at 12.00. Andreas’ supervisors are Prof. Wiebe Bijker and Dr. Anique Hommels.

Thomas Mougey will defend his PhD dissertation “’Enlightening the Dark Zone’: UNESCO, Science and the Technocratic Reordering of the World in the Global South, 1937-1959” in the Aula, Minderbroedersberg 4-6, on Wednesday December 19 at 12.00. Thomas’ supervisors are Prof. Wiebe Bijker, Dr. Geert Somsen and Dr. Raf de Bont.
