Joeri Bruyninckx and Alexandra Supper guest-edit a special issue in Sound Studies

Sonic Skills in Cultural Contexts: Theories, Practices and Materialities of Listening has been published as volume 2:1 of Sound Studies: An Interdisciplinary Journal. It was guest-edited by MUSTS researchers Joeri Bruyninckx and Alexandra Supper. Besides an introductory essay by the two guest editors, the issue features a joint article by MUSTS researchers Peter Peters and Darryl Cressman about the knowledge created in the course of twenty-first century efforts to construct a fifteenth-century organ, and a single-authored article by Alexandra Supper about the complex and ambivalent relationship between sonification research and visual culture.
