In the coming weeks, two MUSTS members will be defending their dissertations:
Simone Schleper will defend her PhD dissertation “Life on Earth: Controversies on the Science and Politics of Global Nature Conservation, 1960 – 1980” on Wednesday, April 26, at 14:00 in the Aula of Maastricht University
Hans Schouwenburg will defend his PhD dissertation “Strategies to Save the Earth: Nature Conservation Experts and Sustainable Development, 1980-2000” on Wednesday, May 10, at 16:00, also in the Aula of Maastricht University.
Both dissertations are part of the VIDI-project Nature’s Diplomats: Ecological Experts and the Conservation Policy of International Organizations, 1930-2000, coordinated by Raf de Bont.
